Cardboard Box in photos

Posted on 19. Oct, 2010 by niki in Artists, Davide Meucci, Shows

We’ve gotten some photos from DAVEM of his latest show in Italy.

DAVEM’s art starts his inspiration by the idea of graffitis in stolen places, walls of urban containers become painting boards of ideas: but he moves straight away from it, focalizing on the common object, on the scruff, not any more monumental container, but wrapping destined to exclusion: the used box. Open or tridimensional , with his intervention from scruff it becames an piece of art, object of the absolute value and not mere case, even if it can become container once again to take art in your everyday life.

THE WALL- performance live painting
the boxes recreate the wall: painting gains its space again, expanding without losing the uniqueness of the single brick-box. Wall completed and ready to be parceled out once again, acquired by the consumer: the scenary is created opposite from in to out, from scruff to piece of art.
the wall will be sold brick by brick, all of them numbered and signed.
