Anthony Peters AKA Imeus Design started his creative career studying Fine Art on the sunny South Coast of England. After graduating, his love of Cubism, Fluxus, Op, Pop and Conceptual art fed into an obsession with graphic design and illustration, especially deceptively simple block colour works, screenprints, papercuts and pieces containing unusual typography. Anthony now works as a retoucher, illustrator and graphic artist. He exhibits regularly across a variety of London galleries and counts the following companies amongst his clients, co conspirators and exhibitors: GQ, Scarlet Magazine, Airside/Its Pop Its Art, Getty Images, Dalston Print Club, L’Affeche Moderne, The Art Group, Habitat, Manna Records & The East End Arts Club. Since graduation from London’s Royal College of Art, Andy Smith has worked for many worldwide clients in advertising, print, publishing and animation. His work combines illustration and typography to create images that have humour, energy and optimism. Despite often being created digitally his graphics have the tactile feel of the hand made and hand printed. His time is split between commercial work and self initiated projects such as silkscreen printed books and posters that are available from his website and have been exhibited in the UK, France, USA and Australia. Andy has won D&AD, AOI and Creative Circle awards for his work on advertising campaigns, book jackets and his animation and direction of ‘Run London’ a commercial for Nike. His work is also stocked in outlets such as such as Playlounge, Magma (London) and Colette (Paris). Andy lives and works in Hastings, East Sussex.
